Events & Announcements
Youth events are a fun way for youth to build relationships with other youth and teachers. We typically have several events during the year, some for fun and fellowship and some service based. Check this page for updates on upcoming youth events!
FORMATION
Prior to our monthly Sunday Evening Prayer and Praise gatherings on the first Sunday of each month, our Youth meet from 3:30pm-4:45pm for gender-specific Formation groups. They are currently studying Jon Nielson’s intro to systematic theology, Knowing God’s Truth. For more information, email matt.ecton@edgefieldnashville.org.
Youth Missions Event / Watch Party
Matt and Colette Ecton would love to invite your students over to watch the new docuseries: Missionary: Obeying the Great Commission. This six-part series tells the stories of William Tyndale, Hudson Taylor, Amy Carmichael, William Carey, David Livingstone, and John Paton– men and women who have faithfully followed Jesus' command to make disciples of all nations. The six episodes are about 45 minutes each. The hope would be to watch the first two (on William Tyndale and Hudson Taylor) while leaving time for discussion afterward. After this, we'll gauge who might be interested in coming back to watch the remaining episodes.
Our hope is that our Youth might better understand how their individual stories connect to greater story about what God is doing in the world through his church to make for himself a people from every tribe, nation, and tongue (Rev. 7:9-10). And in doing so, we hope that they would be energized to play their role in fulfilling the Great Commission.
Let us know you're interested by RSVP-ING HERE and we'll work to find a date that works for the most people.
